This is like taking a big test at school
Your child is going to use their brain a lot. They are under pressure as well. Your child should have good rest. And have a protein meal before coming.
Step 1: find Ms. Joy first.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your assigned time. Go to the 2nd floor, and turn left. Go straight and pass two doors. Go all the way to the lobby at the end.

Find Ms. Joy first. (very important) Ms. Joy will give you the original music books. Most students already have your original copied music with you. Please make sure to bring the sheet music that day. And the following students, please find Ms. Joy before you check in. Zaire, Kendall, Rylnn, Nicholai, Zuri,
Please don't bring the copied music sheets that they practice. You will be disqualified if you check in with the copied music sheet.
Step 2: Check in your judge number # table
After you found Ms. Joy and have your music book. Please go check in. You should see your judge number check in table. After check in, you will be waiting in the waiting room. Someone will call your name shortly.
Step 3: Someone will call your name
Someone will call the student's name. Please follow the person who calls your name.
Parents, friends, stay in the waiting room
This is an evaluation performance. Only students and workers are allowed to go to the performing area. Parents, please stay in the waiting room.
Step 4: When you are in the performance room
Please don't play when you first walk in. Wait for the judge teacher's instructions. The judge teacher needs time to finish the command for the previous student. He/she will ask you to play a "warm-up" exercise. You can play scales.
After a few minutes, he/she will ask you which one you want to play first. And you can begin to play your 1st song.
After 1st song, please wait again for the judge teacher to finish writing down the comments. Wait for the judge teacher's instruction to play the 2nd song.
Steps 5: After you finish, *****DON"T LEAVE YET****
After you finished. Please don't leave yet.
#1. Go back to the registration table. They are going to record your rating. They will give you the rating sheet and a small certificate.
#2. Find Ms. Joy again. (very important) Return the music books to Ms. Joy. Ms. Joy will need to collect your rating sheet and a small certificate to make a copy. These rating sheets and certificates will return to you in your next lesson.
Steps 6: Hooray, You are done!
You are done! Congratulation on all of your hard work. You can leave after this.
If you are taking NFMC music theory test, Please stay after your piano performance. Someone will take you to the music theory room.
