Story behind this song: One afternoon in April 2013, I was driving in my van headed home near Kroger, Newnan, GA. I had this melody hitting me really hard. At that moment, I decided to write down the music that I heard in my head (from measure 1 to 8).

I was under a lot of pressure and very stressed during that time period. You might say I was under a huge amount of depression at that moment.

I had to go to court in May 2013 to fight for my family. Many unrighteous things were happening. There were many sleepless nights. I had been crying out to God for His help.

After I finished this song, I asked God for the title. He said, “Be Still and know that I am God”.

It is hard for us to keep up our faith, especially, when many wrong things are happening around us. It seems as if the whole world is against you. Not even the earthly law will protect the ones that we love.  We can not ask for God’s justice. But God is in control. Sometimes we just need to wait for Him, and He will turn things around in our lives. God did turn things around in my life and made things right for me Himself. Wait on God.

Romans 8:28    And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
