🌸 April 2013. A spring afternoon found me driving near Kroger in Newnan, GA, when out of nowhere, a melody struck me like lightning. 🎶 It was so powerful I had to pull over, grab a pen, and capture the music swirling in my mind. That moment birthed the first eight measures of this song.

💔 Life at that time was anything but calm. I was overwhelmed by stress, fighting depression, and facing a court battle in May to protect my family. ⚖️ Unjust circumstances weighed heavy on me, leaving me sleepless and crying out to God for help.

🙏 When I finished writing the song, I asked God for its name. His response? “Be Still and Know that I am God.”

✨ It’s hard to hold onto faith when the world feels against you. 🌍 When even earthly justice fails, trust can waver. But this song became my anchor, reminding me that God is always in control, even when life feels chaotic. Sometimes, all we can do is wait for Him—and that’s enough.

🌟 And then it happened. God turned my situation around, bringing justice and restoration in His perfect timing.
