Basketball Parade for intermediate level
This is a Storyteller Piano Solo.
Storyteller songs normally use sound to describe an action or tell a story. Sometimes sound is used to describe a feeling.
This is a song describing the basketball game.
This music includes dribbling basketballs, three point shots and much more.
The triad chords on both hands (ms. 1 to 4) sound like normal dribbling of the basketballs (walk or run with the basketball).
The glissando notes going up on ms. 6, 8, 18, 22 are describing an action of a 3-point shot.
The glissando notes going down on ms. 14, 16 are describing an action of a slam dunk.
The glissando notes going down on ms. 20, 24 are describing an action of a reverse dunk.
Ms. 25: the staccato notes sound like the player bending down near the ground and dribbling the basketball.
Ms.26: dribbling behind the back in a bent down position.
Ms. 29, winning some points, etc.
This PDF is designed for two sided printing. It is going to look like a sheet music book. This is the reason why there is one blank page in some of the songs. You can also just print the sheet music pages only.
