About This Song:

This is a rather quirky song, and I’m not quite sure how I ended up creating it. Nonetheless, let’s imagine you’re a turkey desperately trying to avoid ending up on the dining table. You’re hatching a daring escape plan from the confines of the kitchen…

Due to the fact that young kids may not be well-versed in playing sharps, I’ve provided two versions of this song. One version includes note names for added clarity, while the other is the standard sheet music.

The tremolo you’ll notice at the beginning and end of the piece is intended to mimic the sound of a turkey’s gobble. It’s perfectly fine if your student isn’t able to play the tremolo perfectly evenly. At this age, the goal is to have fun while playing.
